AIFCA is looking for a dynamic and strategic Communication and Engagement Manager to support its national communications and engagement work. This newly created role is vital in raising the profile and influence of AIFCA and our members, developing partnerships, and supporting major national initiatives in inshore fisheries and coastal conservation.
You’ll work closely with the 10 IFCAs and internal forums and key partners including MMO, Natural England, and the Environment Agency.
This is also an exciting opportunity to lead communications for national projects like the Inshore Fisheries Consortium (ISSF).
Key Responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and deliver AIFCA’s communications and stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Manage and enhance external channels: website, social media, press, publications.
- Coordinate communications for high-impact national programmes (ISSF, One Health).
- Support national forums, working groups, and internal communications.
- Foster relationships with government, industry, communities, NGOs, and academia.
- Plan and facilitate workshops, webinars, and consultations across England.
