This public event showcased results of two Fisheries Industry Science Partnership (FISP) projects: Angling for Sustainability and Pollack FISP. These projects have been working with fishers to collect vital data on black bream, elasmobranchs and pollack, to inform evidence-based fisheries management. The conference included presentations from project researchers, partner, and guest speakers, and was online and in person. It was followed by an evening event in Plymouth.
The project is led by the University of Plymouth in partnership with the Professional Boatmans Association, Natural England, the Southern Inshore Fisheries Conservation Authority and the Angling Trust.
The University of Plymouth leads the project in partnership with the Angling Trust, the Professional Boatman’s Association and the University of York.
